The scope of work for the main residence includes the restoration of the exterior facades and refurbishment of windows and French windows to increase the efficiency without altering the appearance and character of the building. The interior restoration includes the Main Entrance, the Grand Stair and all Representational rooms in the ground floor. The design includes a second private access to the house and a large garage, guard booth and basement with secondary kitchen, laundry and service facilities (920 sqm).

A new hydraulic residential elevator was installed from the basement to the attic, retrofitting the existing one located in the service area.

Private areas on the first floor were entirely redesigned, including the expansion of the master suite with private terrace facing the river, three additional suites and a private living room.   

The attic was refunctionalized installing a Moroccan type SPA that includes a hammam with spa pool, sauna, steam room, chromatherapy shower, relax rooms and a massage room with hydrotherapy facilities.

A fully equipped Gym was designed in the east wing of the attic facing the river. The original brick structure was restored replicating the original finish, reinforcing and completing the original wood trusses. New roof windows were installed to increase natural lighting.

The master guest suite was designed in the east wing and a second –smaller- suite was added in the west wing. 

A new greenhouse with an in-outdoor pool was designed next to the main residence. The new building was connected to the main house by means of an underground path with handicapped access and facilities.

The infrastructure of the main pavilion (1680 sqm) was renovated in its entirety including a new mechanical room in the basement. The obsolete infrastructure of the two additional pavilions (160 and 250 sqm respectively) was also renewed responding to the needs.

The pool pavilion was restored and fully renovated as well as the original pool, an heliport and a new stable building were added at the foot of the ravine, close to the river.

The project included the design and treatment of the property outdoor areas – main access rotunda with a new fountain and bronze sculpture, an orangery, chill out areas and pergola.

The Architecture, Engineering & Physical Security Upgrading Design Project was developed on the basis of the U.S. OBO Design Standards and Criteria.
