Private Residence (circa 1946)

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Full Infrastructure Renovation and Upgrading Project. Restoration of Exterior Facades. Indoor and Out-door design. Originally a country residence, it was designed by the argentine architect Angelina Camisia (1912-2008) who rehabilitated and designed the house of Julio Cortàzar, the iconic argentine writer of the 20th century, in Paris, France. She was one of the few female architects that –according to Martha Levisman- “the Modernists accepted to include”.

 SCOPE OF WORK:

The home is distributed in three -split-semi levels taking advantage of the unevenness of the land.  The main floor includes the living room with a small stepped terrace facing the access courtyard and the dining area, facing the garden. The renovated main kitchen and the reception toilet are also located in this floor.

The staircase leads to a private hallway and from there to the master suite and two bedrooms with a shared bathroom. The upper floor is a playroom overlooking the back garden that has an outdoor green terrace with barbecue and chill-out spaces. This level includes a second small kitchen -connected to the main one through a service stair- and the laundry room.

The back garden in the ground floor includes an urban pool and chill out spaces.

All the original finishes were restored and the entire infrastructure fully renovated.
