“Espacio Cultural” Palacio Pereda Residencia del Embajador del Brasil

Adaptive reuse, Restoration and Infrastructure Renovation Project of the East Wing of the Pereda Palace to expose and promote the works of renowned and emerging artists from Brazil and Argentina.

SCOPE OF WORK:

This rehabilitation project was the last phase of 7 (seven) project design stages developed by our office to restore, renovate and upgrade the building. These areas, used as general storage and maintenance shops for decades are currently used to spread Brazilian culture and introduce local artists.

The AE project design includes the refunctionalization of spaces adapted for the exhibition needs, curatorial offices, visitors rest, facilities and art storage. The project SOW includes the consolidation of structural components, the preservation and restoration of historic finishes and the infrastructure upgrading and renovation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and lighting systems incorporating domotics to centralize control in response to the requirements of art display and storage areas.
